...A Greener Day is a Thread Away

The professionals at Envirovert want you to know that up to 40% of all cotton grown in the world is wasted between the harvest and the manufacture processes. Much of that ends up in landfills. That’s a lot of perfectly good cotton going to waste, and like we said – not very green.

The good news is that a greener day is just a thread away. The Envirovert team produces high-quality recycled cotton yarns and clothing from post-industrial cotton scraps.

In short, we:

1) Rescue the cotton bits that end up on the factory floor during the knitting, weaving and cutting processes.

2) Break them back down into yarns, and then

3) Make them into comfortable, stylish and generally awesome garments and accessories that you’ll be happy to use, wear and be seen in.

By recycling cotton scraps, we not only keep them from taking up precious landfill space, but we also avoid contributing to the massive consumption of water, land, energy, pesticides and other chemicals that conventional cotton production demands.

Breaking the Cycle:

Just to be clear: The cotton buck stops here.
Envirovert doesn’t harvest any new cotton whatsoever to produce our yarns, cloths or garments. We only use cotton that has already been grown, processed and cast off by other manufacturers. We’re breaking the cycle of environmental impact created by traditional and organic cotton industries by turning their scraps into something new and functional, instead of into landfill.
